Mandatum novum do vobis ut diligatis invicem sicut dilexi vos ut et vos diligatis invicem. in hoc cognoscent omnes quia mei discipuli estis si dilectionem habueritis ad invicem.
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34–35
"Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, 'Teacher, first we wish to see a sign from you.' But he answered, 'An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign. But no sign will be given to it, except for the sign of the prophet Jonah.'"
Matthew 12:38-39
"The Son of Man proceeds as it is written of him. But woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would have been better for that man if he had never been born.”
Matthew 26:24
"The word of God is a living thing, and works among us. It is sharper than a double-edged sword, and penetrates even to the dividing of soul and spirit, the joints and the marrow; it judges the innermost thoughts and inclinations of every heart. Nothing in all of creation is hidden from the sight of the Lord. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we will some day give an account."
Hebrews 4:12-13
“Not everyone who calls out, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will be saved, but only the those who have done the will of my Father in heaven. Many will say on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, we prophesied in your name, drove out demons in your name, and performed many great projects in your name.’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I do not know you. Begone, you lovers of lawlessness.’”
Matthew 7:21-23
This seems fairly simple and straightforward.
We may not seen signs and wonders as we wish, or expect, or even demand of him.
But still the matter proceeds.
What more will it take?
Who is it now that you serve?
Do you really wish to stand with that one in judgement?
Have a pleasant weekend.
