Stocks did the usual morning plunge with late afternoon recovery today.

Gold and silver dipped.

The Dollar rose.

The VIX fell.

The spice must flow.

Stock index option expiration on Friday.

The unexpected death of a sibling helps one to refresh and renew their priorities.

Stocks moved sharply lower in a volatile day but managed to finish in the green in the very light afternoon trading.

There seems to be a definite trend here.

Gold and silver were smashed and the dollar ticked back up in what seemed to be 'technical' reversals.

Silver is still in a remarkable intermediate uptrend.  Very clear to see on the weekly chart.

The VIX is very low relative to its recent histtory.

The equity markets are primed for a decline, perhaps sharply.

Despite the stellar results from the likes of JP Morgan bank.

Need little, want less, love more.

A wave of enthusiasm for a Fed pivot to rate cuts took the markets by storm, given the mild PPI numbers.

This was reflected in another sharp decline in the dollar back towards the DXY 100 handle.

Gold and silver rose higher, and are now pushing up against breakout resistance levels.

Equities also had a made rally with the SP 500 now firmly set against the resistance that has triggered several failed rallies in the recent past.

VIX is showing some complacency.
