Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - And No One Could Have Seen It Coming

"A person will reap what he sows.   The one who sows for his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows for the spirit will reap eternal life from the spirit.  Let us not grow tired of doing good, for in time we shall reap our harvest, if we can remain standing."

Galatians 6:7-9

"Everyone knows that plagues have a way of recurring throughout history, yet somehow we find it hard to believe in the ones that crash down on us out of the sky.  There have always been plagues and wars, yet they always take us by surprise.  When war breaks out people say it's stupid and won't last long.  Stupidity has a knack of getting in the way, which we would see if not wrapped up in ourselves.  In this our townsfolk were like everybody else— they did not believe in plagues."

Albert Camus, The Plague

The sock puppets and spokesmodels of financial TV were not chuckling today.

Stocks corrected hard.

The rise up was a Ponzi scheme, financed by the Fed and aided and abetted by the moneyed interests and their enablers.

Gold and silver were sold off as liquidation was the general rule of the day.

I think the way the NDX plummeted through its hard won prize of 10,000 surprised quite a few.

Well that is how these things go.

Let's see if this wash and rinse has run its course.

There will be more surprises and excitement to come.

This is hardly the worst.

Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - Precious Metal Rockets and Blow Off Tops in Tech

"We should be shining lamps, giving light to all around us.

The tender Mercy of God has given us one another."

Catherine McAuley

"Even in a time of elephantine vanity and greed, one never has to look far to see the campfires of gentle people. Lacking any other purpose in life, it would be good enough to live for their sake."

Garrison Keillor

Stocks were a bit off today with the FOMC announcement of the status quo, although the NDX continued to rocket higher in a late stage new era tech boom.

It is setting up for a very nice blow off top. Wait for it.

Gold and silver took off higher today, continuing to gain back from the phony smackdown engineered by the bullion banks around the non-farm payrolls report.

June is a big month for the precious metal futures, and proved a tempting target for the wiseguys to run the stops and pull off a wash and rinse.

Well, here we are again. Looking at key overhead resistance in gold and silver.

The weather here has been hot, in the low 90's today.

I cut up a fallen tree for a neighbor and stocked some more firewood away for next winter.

The young man is a handy wood-splitter.

And after cleaning up and having a nice late lunch, the air conditioning felt so good that Dolly and I celebrated with a solid nap.

If a package had not arrived, with a doorbell setting off the Dolly alarm, we might still be sleeping even now.

There is no rest so profoundly satisfying as that given to us, having done a good thing for another.

Such are His loving kindness, and tender mercies.

Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - NDX 10,000 - A Dark Day For America

Martin Gugino, Pacifist Protester, Catholic Worker Movement
"What does the modern world know of love, with its light touching of the surface of love. It has never reached down into the depths, to the misery and pain and glory of love which endures to death and beyond it. We have not yet begun to learn about love.  Now is the time to begin, to start afresh, to use this divine weapon.

What we would like to do is change the world–make it a little simpler for people to feed, clothe and shelter themselves as God intended them to do.  And to a certain extent, by fighting for better conditions, by crying out unceasingly for the rights of the workers, of the poor, of the destitute–the rights of the worthy and the unworthy poor in other words, we can to a certain extent change the world; we can work for the oasis, the little cell of joy and peace in a harried world.

We can throw our pebble in the pond and be confident that its ever widening circle will reach around the world."

Dorothy Day, Catholic Worker, June 1946

"The government is the potent omnipresent teacher. For good or ill it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy."

Louis D. Brandeis

“Hate obscures all distinctions.”

C. S. Lewis

Intraday the NDX futures hit a new all time high of 10,000. Huzzah

The SP 500 is still lagging behind.

Tech is the crème de la bubble.

Gold managed to continue to add to its rebound, with the Dollar continuing to give up ground.

Silver gave up a bit of its rebound from yesterday.

Trumpolini smeared the 75 year Martin Gugino, who was tossed to the ground by police and injured.    He falsely claimed that the pacifist protestor was an Antifa agitator, and speculated that he may have been critically injured in order to set the police up.

Trump has a disordered mind and is a pathological liar.  But what about the rest of us?

Have we lost all decency, common sense, and regard for the truth?

Whom do we serve?

Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - A Sickness Unto Death

"The government is the potent omnipresent teacher. For good or ill it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy."

Louis D. Brandeis

"People who know nothing of God and whose lives are centered on themselves, imagine that they can only find themselves by asserting their own desires and ambitions and appetites in a struggle with the rest of the world. They try to become real by imposing themselves on other people, by appropriating for themselves some share of the limited supply of created goods and thus emphasizing the difference between themselves and the other men who have less than they, or nothing at all."

Thomas Merton

"In the Incarnation the whole human race recovers the dignity of the image of God. Thereafter, any attack, even on the least of men, is an attack on Christ, who took on the form of man, and in his own Person restored the image of God in all. Through our relationship with the Incarnation, we recover our true humanity, and at the same time are delivered from that perverse individualism which is the consequence of sin, and recover our solidarity with all mankind."

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

“The greatest hazard of all, losing one’s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss - an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. - is sure to be noticed.”

Søren Kierkegaard, The Sickness Unto Death

“Now we are witnessing a transformation: a true opium of the people is the belief in nothingness after death, the huge solace, the huge comfort of thinking that for our betrayals, our greed, our cowardice, our murders, that we are not going to be judged.”

Czeslaw Milosz, The Discreet Charm of Nihilism

The looting of the Treasury for the benefit of a few continues, while the public remains distracted and repressed.

The madness serves none but itself.

Have a pleasant evening.
