Stocks were hammered into the close after trading weakly most of the day. 

The broader Russell 2000 was signalling the weakness, and the SP and NDX played catch up.

I came in short equities, and closed them out into the close ahead of the CPI data tomorrow. 

These markets seem to be locked onto a permanent wash and rinse cycle.

Stocks need to make a new high, badly.

Gold fell, and silver was hammered lower back down to $22.

The VIX bounced higher off its moving averages.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Stocks swung in a range today, but managed to finish slightly in the green.

After yesterday's strong rally they are back once again within range of the all time highs.

Stocks need to make a new high to keep their bullish momentum going.

So the markets will be watching the CPI data on Friday.

The Dollar fell, and is back in the middle of the 95 handle.

Gold and silver were up slightly.

Stocks went on a tear higher today, in full risk on mode, as all concerns were put aside and forgotten..   

The VIX fell sharply.

Gold and silver edged a bit higher, as the Dollar chopped sideways.

The markets are looking forward to the CPI data later this week.  It may be more emotive and symbolic, but it could move markets.

There is nothing wrong with making money, making a living.   Everyone has to do it in one way or another. 

As in most things,it is how we set our priorities, and how we use what we have.

Know your priorities, who it is you serve, for that is what you love, where your heart will abide.

After slumping in the overnight stocks managed to make and hold a bounce in NY trading. 

The Dollar was slightly higher, while gold and silver were lower.

VIX remains elevated.

CPI this week could provide some traction.
