But all too often we bargain away our souls, one piece at a time, rebelling from even these small and reasonable requests to goodness— and for relatively so little in return.  A little more money, some prestige and recognition from the worldly, and a feeling of being superior to the rest of humanity.  They are fools, but I am smart, and fully deserve everything that we have been given, owing nothing to anyone, including God.

And we may hold on to that poisonous bargain out of stiff-necked, stubborn pride and a willful blindness refusing to repent and admit our errors, until we fall into the abyss.  Misery loves company, and the sinful insulate themselves from a recognition of the foulness of their hearts by attempting to convert those around them to the same wickedness.

You will serve what you love the most, and sacrifice for the love of what you serve.  Whether it be God, a political ideology, yourself, or some other idol of the world.  No one can serve two masters.  But I do strongly fear that we are once again falling into a time of general apostasy from those things that make and keep us fully human.  And I am afraid that most will be deceived, even among the faithful."

Stocks tumbled in the overnight futures, and a rally attempt failed, with stocks going out near their lows.

VIX rose sharply.

Bitcoin continued a cascade decline from its recent breakout attempt.

Gold and silver both rocketed higher.

The Dollar continued to decline.

The world of finance is giving the Trump administration a vote of no-confidence.

What is remarkable is that, after all that has happened and been done, a significant minority of the American public continues to exhibit such support for evil, such lust for power, such disregard for the rights of the weak, or such yearning for submission to lawlessness and power. 

It is hard to imagine a greater apostasy than Christian Zionism.   And the betrayal of their oaths of office by politicians who display their disloyalty to the Constitution which they are sworn to preserve, protect and defend against all threats, foreign and domestic.

Dark days indeed.   

We will be seeing the hidden hand of God in action.   And that will be even harder to believe or imagine.

The next day, 4 April 1968, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was murdered by elements of the US deep state in Memphis, Tennessee, exactly one year to the day after his sermon, A Time To Break the Silence.

As a reminder, US bond and equity markets will be closed on Monday January 19th in remembrance of Martin Luther King.

Stocks popped and flopped.

Gold and silver were under pressure, as is typical for a monthly stock market option expiration.

VIX is subdued.

The Dollar was unchanged.  I have expanded the chart so you can see it is in a trading range.

Bitcoin has failed to advance its breakout so far.

We should observe what happens over the next two years carefully.  

It is not often in a generation that we may observe the hidden hand of God as he administers his chastisement to the nations.

I don't think a lot of people are taking this very seriously.  They proudly say and do one vile thing after another, fall for one obvious scam after another, give their allegiance to some of the ugliest people of the lie that there are.

"When narcissists fail they will falsely claim that everything is fine and that there is nothing wrong. They will try to misdirect us or claim there is nothing to the allegations or circumstances. Any evidence presented, and those that present, it will be attacked aggressively and vindictively. If the narcissist is going to be brought down, they will also seek to bring everyone else around them down to vindictively make them suffer. As the end nears, the suffering of others is paramount to the malignant narcissist. It is their way of elevating themselves by malevolently paying back society with even more suffering.

Stocks dipped again today, but came back a little bit into the late trading hours.

Gold and silver rallied higher, with silver tagging 93 intraday.

Remarkable.

Bitcoin has broken up and out of its short term trading range.   Let's see if it can sustain it.  It's impressive that it not following along with the NDX. 

It's a tale of two markets.  The overnight global market, and the daylight New York and London markets.

Big moves are coming this year, and big events that may surprise and shock us.
