Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - Empires Rise and Are Fallen

"What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but do not have works?  Can faith save you?  If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and eat your fill’, and yet you do not supply their bodily needs, what is the good of that?  So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead."

James 2:14-17

"Let your love for one another continue. And do not forget to show kindness to strangers, for by this some have entertained angels without knowing it."

Hebrews 13:1-2

"Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man.  It’s the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest.  Pride is spiritual cancer: it eats up the very possibility of love, or contentment, or even common sense.”

C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity

"You are my flock, the sheep of my pasture.  You are my people, and I am your God, says the Lord."

Ezekiel 34:31

"For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, a stranger and you gave me no welcome, naked and you gave me no clothing, ill and in prison, and you did not care for me.’  Then they will answer and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or ill or in prison, and not minister to your needs?’  He will answer them, ‘Amen, I say to you, what you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me."

Matthew 25:42-46

“I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their sin.  I will crush the arrogance of the proud and humble the pride of the mighty."

Isaiah 13:11

“Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom.  The only people who will enter are those who do what my Father in heaven wants.  On that last Day many will call me Lord.  They will say, ‘Lord, Lord, by the power of your name we spoke for God.  And by your name we forced out demons and did many miracles.’  Then I will tell those people clearly, ‘Get away from me, you who are lawless.  I never knew you."

Matthew 7:21-23

Stocks tried to rally today, but ended up slightly lower.

Gold and silver rallied.

Today was the option expiration for the precious metals December futures contracts.

If gold and silver bulls are going to get a 'gut check' on their longs it will likely happen tomorrow, when they take positions of their new positions from their in the money options.

The Dollar chopped sideways and was largely unchanged.

A big chunk of gold went walkabout from the Hong Kong Comex warehouses.

I don't think most people genuinely understand the underlying depths and foundations of our reality.

Empires rise, and are fallen. But the Word and the Spirit endure.

Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - To Undo the Folded Lie

"Gentleness is everywhere in daily life, a sign that faith rules through ordinary things: through cooking and small talk, through storytelling, making love, fishing, tending animals and sweet corn and flowers, through sports, music and books, raising kids — all the places where the gravy soaks in and grace shines through. Even in a time of elephantine vanity and greed, one never has to look far to see the campfires of gentle people."

Garrison Keillor

“Of all the countries I have been to, the poorest one I have been to is America. America suffers most from the poverty of loneliness. Not all of us can do great things. But we all can do small things, with great love.”

Teresa of Calcutta

“What we would like to do is change the world— make it a little simpler for people to feed, clothe, and shelter themselves as God intended them to do. And, by fighting for better conditions, by crying out unceasingly for the rights of the workers, the poor, of the destitute— the rights of the worthy and the unworthy poor, in other words— we can, to a certain extent, change the world; we can work for the oasis, the little cell of joy and peace in a harried world."

Dorothy Day, The Long Loneliness

"Love does not make you weak, because it is the source of all strength— but it makes you see the nothingness of the illusory strength on which you depended before you knew it."

Léon Bloy

"All I have is a voice
To undo the folded lie,
The romantic lie in the brain
Of the sensual man-in-the-street
And the lie of Authority
Whose buildings grope the sky:
We must love one another or die."

W. H. Auden, September 1, 1939

There will be a Comex precious metals futures option expiration on Monday the 27th.

They silence the truth, and murder His prophets, in order to deceive themselves and others.

And yet, many abide in God's love.

What else can one do in the midst of such cynical and profound corruption?

War is war; greed is greed; hate is hate; murder is murder.

And, as always, there will be consequences.

Have a pleasant weekend.

Thanksgiving Day

"We pray for the big things, and forget to give thanks for the ordinary, small (and yet really not so small) blessings.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

"Rejoice in the Lord always; and again I will say, rejoice; show patience and consideration to all, for the Lord is always near.   Let nothing make you anxious; but with prayer, and by supplication, and with thanksgiving, let your needs be made known unto God; and the peace of the Lord, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds, in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:4-7

"I do invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next, as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union."

Abraham Lincoln, Proclamation of Thanksgiving, Washington D.C., October 3, 1863

“Man has places in his heart which do not yet exist— and into them enters suffering, in order that they may have life.”

Léon Bloy

"Remember us, O Lord, in thy loving kindness and tender mercies, as ever they have been from old."

Psalm 25:6

Please remember to feed the least of His creatures, the birds and animals, and of course His children.  What you do for the least of these, you do for Me.

Bring comfort and fellowship to the hearts of those you meet, especially those impoverished by fear and isolation, trials and afflictions, with a kind word and a smile and acts of mercy.   Each of us has our burdens and troubles to carry.  And it is our duty and joy and freedom to lessen the troubles of others, out of acceptance and thankfulness for His love, of those who are unworthy, like us.

I remember all of you in my thoughts and prayers, as always, my brothers and sisters in the Lord. And I give thanks for you and your goodness and your efforts to walk in His paths.

Let us commend ourselves to His merciful forgiveness, and trust our futures to His loving kindness and tender mercy.  Let us permit ourselves to be fashioned to His will, in our commitment to His gospel, not for His sake, but for ours, as He wisely commanded us.

Be kind to those who are around your table today, even those who may be 'difficult.'  And pray for His mercy and enlightenment to give a more acceptable example to His children, if that difficult one is you.

Do not wait for God to show you the consequences of your sinfulness and waywardness and pride.  Ask for His forgiveness and mercy now, at this moment, and in thankfulness, never turn back.

Need little - Want less - Love more.  For those who abide in love abide in God, and God in them.
