Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - Shameless, Fearless of Consequences - Metals Hit For Expiration

"The oligarchic character of the modern English commonwealth does not rest, like many oligarchies, on the cruelty of the rich to the poor.  It does not even rest on the kindness of the rich to the poor.

It rests on the perennial and unfailing kindness of the poor to the rich."

G. K. Chesterton

“Ayn Rand's 'philosophy' is nearly perfect in its immorality, which makes the size of her audience all the more ominous and symptomatic as we enter a curious new phase in our society to justify and extol human greed and egotism.

We are the United States of Amnesia, we learn nothing because we remember nothing.”

Gore Vidal

"But there is a sort of 'Ok guys, you're mad, but how are you going to stop me' mentality at the top."

Robert Johnson, Audacious Oligarchy

"We've become, now, an oligarchy instead of a democracy. I think that's been the worst damage to the basic moral and ethical standards to the American political system that I've ever seen in my life."

Jimmy Carter

"Crime, once exposed, has no refuge but in audacity.”

Tacitus

Gold and silver were hit this morning, as is expected on a Comex Option Expiration n the Futures Contracts.

Silver is in an active month for March and was hit particularly hard.

But the metals seemed to claw their way back.

Silver is very much worth watching.

Stocks took a serious dive.   They were clawed back in the afternoon trade.

At some point, and it may be sooner rather than later,  they are going to take a dive, and the rescue attempt is going to fizzle.

And away we go on this latest round of bubble and bust, compliments of a corrupt financial system.

I was discussing the metals action with a friend today, and observed that there is likely to be more counter-intuitive action in the metals as the shortage of physical worsens and the leverage and asset fraud intensify.

An ordinary person, when caught in a bad situation, tends to gather themselves together and try to pull out of it, to make a break.

Not so with conmen and sociopaths.  They continue to double down and inflate their bluffs, feeling confident that they can talk their way out of anything.

And as further incentive, in this captured regulatory climate, when caught they are most likely to get a wristslap and a generous bailout.

Or as was so recently demonstrated in Texas, they can just point the finger at strawmen and channel the anger of the abused away from themselves, the real abusers.

We are so foolish and stupid and pig-headed and undeserving.

And it seems as though the worse we are, the louder and prouder we get.

God must truly be great and His mercy vast, to love us, much less suffer and die for us.

Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - The Great Money Game - Comex Option Expiration Tomorrow

China is back from their Lunar New Year holiday week.

Friday was pretty rough on the miners and metals, even for our excessively under-regulated and corrupted markets.

These clowns are nothing if not predictable, shameless, and clumsy.

Kind of like the crony capitalist energy complex in Texas.

I sold some of the mining positions longs taken during the expiration smackdown last week.

There will be a metals option expiration on the Comex tomorrow for the March contracts.

Big Cap tech got hammered today.    The other stocks followed lower.

Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - Sow in Tears, Reap in Joy - Option Expiration

"Do you fast?  Then also feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, visit the sick, do not forget the imprisoned, have pity on the oppressed, comfort those who grieve and who weep, be merciful, humble, kind, calm, patient, sympathetic, forgiving, reverent, truthful and pious, so that God might accept your fasting and might plentifully grant you the fruits of repentance."

John Chrysostom

"Let us remember the poor, and not forget kindness to strangers; above all, let us love God with all our soul, and might, and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves.   For no part of Creation is left void of Him: He has filled all things everywhere."

Athanasius of Alexandria

"In the Incarnation the whole human race recovers the dignity of the image of God.  Thereafter, any attack, even on the least of men, is an attack on Christ, who took on the form of man, and in his own Person restored the image of God in all.  Through our relationship with the Incarnation, we recover our true humanity, and at the same time are delivered from that perverse individualism which is the consequence of sin, and recover our solidarity with all mankind."

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

"Let us feel what we really are--sinners attempting great things. Let us simply obey God's will, whatever may come. He can turn all things to our eternal good. Easter day is preceded by the forty days of Lent, to show us that they only who sow in tears shall reap in joy."

John Henry Newman

Gold and silver bounced back today, after a vicious overnight plunge triggered by dumping of contracts in the quiet hours of trading, while Asia still remains mostly on holiday.

Stocks gave up some of their recent gains, but came off the lows in the NY afternoon hours, again.

The Dollar dropped.

Need litte, want less, love more.  For those who abide in love abide in God, and God in them.

Have a pleasant weekend.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - Perverse Individualism

“Unbridled capitalism will lead to some very real problems.”

Kenneth Rogoff

"Libertarianism helps conservatives pass off a patently pro-business political agenda as a noble bid for human freedom.   Practically speaking, it is a doctrine that owes its visibility to the obvious charms it holds for the wealthy and the powerful."

Thomas Frank

“All utopias are dystopias.  The term dystopia was coined by those that believe a utopia can be functional.”

A.E. Samaan

"I know nothing that I may say can influence you.  You have no souls to be influenced.  You are spineless, flaccid things.  You are lick-spittles and panderers, the creatures of the Plutocracy.  You talk verbosely in antiquated terminology of your love of liberty, and all the while you wear the scarlet livery of the Iron Heel.”

Jack London

Life expectantly in the US fell by the most since WW II.

Yay us.

Stocks took a dive this morning but managed to gain quite a bit back.

Perhaps not yet, but one day in the not too distant future they are going to take a dive and then go down into a fairly impressive correction.

Gold held in unchanged in spite of a determined bear raid, again.

Silver not so much.

Option expiration for stocks tomorrow.

China gets back to business next week.

There is a Comex metals expiry on the 23rd, but it is not important.

There is a video at the bottom that gives a nice legal summary of the impeachment.

 Caution, it is fact-based.

Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - Storm Warnings - Precious Metals Winding Up

"The demand for silver may temporarily exceed available supply that is acceptable for delivery to the Trust, which may adversely affect an investment in the Shares.  To the extent that demand for silver exceeds the available supply at that time, Authorized Participants may not be able to readily acquire sufficient amounts of silver necessary for the creation of a Basket.

It is possible that Authorized Participants may be unable to acquire sufficient silver that is acceptable for delivery to the Trust for the issuance of new Baskets due to a limited then-available supply coupled with a surge in demand for the Shares. ...In such circumstances, the Trust may suspend or restrict the issuance of Baskets.”

SLV Silver ETF

“As of the date of this prospectus, an online campaign intended to harm hedge funds and large banks is encouraging retail investors to purchase silver and shares of Silver ETPs to intentionally increase prices. This activity may result in temporarily high prices of silver.”

SIVR Silver ETF

Stocks slumped hard today on the much stronger than expected retail sales number and the inflation in the PPI.

Just another sign how dependent stock valuations are on easy Fed money.

Gold and silver were thunked again, but silver came back for a gain.

Miners were hammered ahead of their stock option expiration again.

And another snow storm is on the way I hear.

The State of Texas independent power grid is giving major hardships to the public.

I began to get very bullish in my outlook for the precious metals today.

Let's see how things play out and then I will let you know what I may be seeing, if it develops.

Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent.

Repentance -Forgiveness - Thankfulness.

 Have a pleasant evening.

Stocks and Precious Metals Charts - The Wild Ones - Lunar New Year and Options Expiration

“The oligarchs who ran the country – and the world – had no principals, no morals, and no Code of Honor.  Their indentured servants, the politicians, pretended to have them, but their skills were, just like those of the prostitute who tells her john he just gave her the best orgasm, to appear to have a moral purpose just beyond their self-enrichment.  That much was enough to get them through the next election.

And every dollar they [the people] saved was worth less with every financial crisis, while the government just printed more money to preserve the stock markets, the financial status of the elites, and the banks who served them.”

Kenneth Eade, An Evil Trade

Stocks had another ranging day, and ended with small losses.

The Dollar moved sideways.

Gold was hit hard today, and to a lesser extent silver.

The miners were hammered.

Must be a stock option expiration this Friday.

And China is on holiday for their lunar New Year this week.

Laissez les bon temps rouler.

Have a pleasant evening.
