Charts Updated as of Monday at 11 AM - Tender Mercies

"The trouble with lying and deceiving is that their efficiency depends entirely upon a clear notion of the truth that the liar and deceiver wishes to hide.

In this sense, truth, even if it does not prevail in public, possesses an ineradicable primacy over all falsehoods."

Hannah Arendt

"Let everyone see your gentleness. The Lord is near! Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God. And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds." Phil 4:4-9

By their manipulations and deceit they prove that which they seem to fear, that their economic and monetary theory is nonsense, and is failing, for it cannot stand on its own. And that the people will not be fooled forever.

As noted over at Zerohedge a little while ago, "over 18,000 contracts - or over $2.3 billion notional of gold has been dumped in the last 10 minutes..."

I will be in training this week to help Mary when she comes home, learning how to more effectively assist her to get in and out of a car,  and manage her needs,  as she will be in a wheel chair for a little while at least.  But given her remarkable progress the therapists do not expect this to be too long. It is hard to believe that only four weeks ago the doctors were deeply concerned that she would never have the use of her right leg and arm again.

Was I afraid? Did I doubt? Of course I did. I was in a kind of a walking shock, numb with grief. But in the end I accepted it, and gave over to His providence. 'Thy will be done.' And it was not easy. It was only two weeks ago that we saw her leg move for the first time, and feebly move her fingers. And yesterday I saw her make her way down the hallway for dinner in a wheelchair but without our help. It was like the breaking of dawn.

But there are many there who are not so blessed, and we must remember them in our thoughts and prayers. In this same facility one can see the amputees, and the elderly, the stricken and the lonely. We must remember them, and do not forsake them. We live in an age that despises the weak, the unfortunate, the gentle, the poor, and preys upon them while the others remain silent. We are called to not be silent.  In the gentle acceptance of His will we are like the rocks of a shore, the steel of a blade.  For this is the nature of our warfare.  We rise by falling.

The darkness only serves to make His tender mercies all the brighter. So do not lose heart. Change is coming.

Have a pleasant evening.

"Wonderful providence indeed which is so silent, yet so efficacious, so constant, so unerring. This is what baffles the power of Satan. He cannot discern the Hand of God in what goes on; and though he would fain meet it and encounter it, in his mad and blasphemous rebellion against heaven, he cannot find it.

Crafty and penetrating as he is, yet his thousand eyes and his many instruments avail him nothing against the majestic serene silence, the holy imperturbable calm which reigns through the providences of God. Crafty and experienced as he is, he appears like a child or a fool, like one made sport of, whose daily bread is but failure and mockery, before the deep and secret wisdom of the Divine Counsels.

He makes a guess here, or does a bold act there, but all in the dark. He knew not of Gabriel's coming, and the miraculous conception of the Virgin, or what was meant by that Holy Thing which was to be born, being called the Son of God. He tried to kill him, and he made martyrs of the innocent children; he tempted the Lord of all with hunger and with ambitious prospects; he sifted the Apostles, and got none but one who already bore his own name, and had been already given over as a devil.

He brought into the world the very salvation which he feared and hated. He accomplished the Atonement of that world, whose misery he was plotting. Wonderfully silent, yet resistless course of God's providence! 'Verily, Thou art a God that hidest Thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour;' and if even devils, sagacious as they are, spirits by nature and experienced in evil, cannot detect His hand, while He works, how can we hope to see it except by that way which the devils cannot take, by loving faith?"

John Henry Newman, PS 17

"For in that universal call,
Few bankers will to heaven be mounters;
They'll cry, 'Ye shops, upon us fall!
Conceal and cover us, ye counters!'

When other hands the scales shall hold,
And they, in men's and angels' sight
Produced with all their bills and gold,
'Weighed in the balance and found light!'"

Jonathan Swift, The Run on the Bankers

Change is coming.

Updates on Monday.

Have a pleasant weekend.

Some Charts At 7 PM

"Two-thirds of the directors at the New York Fed are hand-picked by the same bankers that the Fed is in charge of regulating.

Today, the United States is No. 1 in corporate profits, No. 1 in CEO salaries, No. 1 in childhood poverty, and No. 1 in income and wealth inequality in the industrialized world.

Today, the top one-tenth of 1% owns nearly as much wealth as the bottom 90%. The economic game is rigged, and this level of inequality is unsustainable. We need an economy that works for all, not just the powerful.

I think what the American people are saying is enough is enough. This country, this great country, belongs to all of us. It cannot continue to be controlled by a handful of billionaires who apparently want it all."

Bernie Sanders

The Banks must be restrained, and the financial system reformed, with balance restored to the economy, before there can be any sustainable recovery.

No Updates Tonight - Jerzy Popiełuszko, martyr de la vérité

Busy making ready for the return of the monarch of the household.

"You have to live in Truth to remain spiritually free. Life in Truth consists of giving testimony, acknowledging the Truth and defending it in each situation. Truth never changes. It cannot be destroyed by any decision or legal act. Our slavery stems from our surrender to the rule of the lie, our failure to unmask a lie, and to protest against it in everyday life. Instead of correcting the lie we keep silent, or pretend to believe it is true.

This means living in falsehood. Telling the Truth with courage is a way leading directly to freedom. A person who tells the Truth is a free man despite external slavery, imprisonment, or official custody. If in the present political situation the majority of the Polish people followed the one and only Truth, our nation would become spiritually free today! The external or political freedom would follow sooner or later as a consequence of the spiritual freedom and faithfulness to the Truth.

Overcoming fear is a key element in the process of setting Man free. Fear springs from threats. We fear suffering; we fear the loss of some goods, the loss of freedom, health or a job. This fear makes us act against our conscience, and it is by means of our conscience that we take the measure of Truth. We overcome fear the moment we agree to lose something for the sake of a higher value. If Truth becomes a value worth suffering for, worth taking a risk, then we will overcome the fear that keeps us in slavery...

Any nation is bound to perish if deprived of bravery, if it pretends that everything is good when it is not, and if it is satisfied with half-truths. Every day we must be aware that when we are demanding truth from others we must live in truth ourselves, demanding justice we must be just, demanding bravery we must be brave."

Gold Daily and Silver Weekly Charts - The Gathering Storm

"Some touch of the artist wells up within me, and calls insistently for a well-staged performance. Surely our profession, Mr. Mac, would be a drab and sordid one if we did not sometimes set the scene so as to glorify our results. The blunt accusation, the brutal tap upon the shoulder - what can one make of such a denouement?

But the quick inference, the subtle trap, the clever forecast of coming events, the triumphant vindication of bold theories - are these not the pride and the justification of our life's work? At the present moment you thrill with the glamour of the situation and the anticipation of the hunt. Where would be that thrill if I had been as definite as a timetable?”

Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes: The Valley of Fear

When gold and silver finally are able, through price action, to have their say about the state of Western fiscal and monetary policy actions, it may break a few ear drums and shatter a more than a few illusions about the wisdom and honesty of the money masters.

Slowly, but surely, a reckoning is coming.  And what has been hidden will be revealed.

Have a pleasant evening.
